Letters To The Editor "We (have been) reading (these) beautiful and amazing stories. Each story is so inspiring. Please keep narrating more and more stories. Thanks" - Malathi [Globetrotting Couple Travel Across 170 Countries Without Quitting Their Jobs!]( You Gotta Go When You Gotta Go (But Go Green!) “I love to travel!” We’ve all heard (or gasp, said) these words more than once. Now whether you’re a tourist or a traveller, prefer must-see places or little-known ones, visit metro cities or those far away from civilisation, all of these are exposures to the new that usually contributes to your world-view. You see a little more of the beauty and variety of the world you occupy, which helps you realise that the world is much bigger and varied than you previously knew. There is wisdom, and humility, in this realisation. And while you take much from these experiences and imbibe newer qualities in your personality, you also leave something behind—your personal touch—through your interactions with others and other places. And of course, sadly, most of us leave behind our carbon footprint as well—through discarded plastic (bottles of water and packets of chips, for example). So is it possible for us to leave a place better than we found it? And if that’s too far-fetched, how about making sure that we don’t leave it worse? We could start with small steps—like carrying bottles from home so that we don’t buy disposable plastics, and holding on to empty packets of chips and discarding them the right way—before gradually moving on to taking bigger steps. In an ideal situation, you would try your best to see all the wonders of the world and leave it just as wonderous as you saw it. Let's aim for that, a better way to travel. In time, this sensibility may even come to define us, and if we’re lucky, those around us. If you’re overwhelmed with how to begin, here are some folks who are setting #GreenGoals, while pursuing their #wanderlust.
