Across other parts of the country, families in California, Oregon, Nevada and other western states are beginning to recover from massive wildfires, while those in Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and the Carolinas continue to recover from the impacts of Hurricanes Francine, Ernesto, Debby and Beryl. The Red Cross has been there with food, water, shelter and other lifesaving relief. It costs just $200 to shelter and feed a family of four for one night.
