No Show Brooklyn-based rapper 6ix9ine, who has spurred controversy across the country after it was reported that he had three felony child porn convictions and alleged gang affiliations, was a [no-show for an Austin SXSW]( appearance. The 21-year-old was scheduled to perform at the Worldstar Hip Hop showcase in Austin on Friday, but never made it to stage, according to the Houston Chronicle. Read about the hip hop agency that [conquered Texas.]( 'Affluenza' Unleashed Ethan Couch, who received ten years of probation for killing four people while driving drunk, is scheduled to be released from jail in two weeks. Couch gained national notoriety during his 2013 intoxication manslaughter trial when a psychologist testified that the teen's "affluenza"—or his wealth and dysfunctional home life—made him incapable of distinguishing right from wrong. Couch later violated his probation by fleeing with his mother to Mexico in 2015, and he was sent to prison after he returned to the U.S. Revisit Couch's [flight from the country]( with his mother. Big Bucks The University of Texas Board of Regents voted Monday [to raise tuition]( for Texas undergraduates attending UT schools. The two-step increase will result in undergraduates paying $10,818 a year.
