Personally, I’m not someone that would be swayed much by such endorsements, but it’s easy to see why many people would. Star power can often have a significant influence in many areas, lending a certain level of credibility and helping shine a bigger spotlight on whatever the high-profile person is endorsing. As such, it might not be that surprising that SEAI could end up doing well in today’s extremely crowded AI industry. The software services company was established by Magnus Ekbom, co-founder of Lazada, as well as Ashwath Ramesh, who was executive vice president for Southeast Asia at the ecommerce platform. If that’s not star power, I don’t know what is. -- Jonathan  ---------------------------------------------------------------  THE BIG STORY [Lazada co-founder enters AI arena with Salesforce-like product]( Magnus Ekbom’s new AI startup focuses on building customized enterprise software that uses machine learning models. --------------------------------------------------------------- TRENDING NEWS [YouTube, Shopee team up to boost Thai e-commerce shopping]( YouTube has partnered with Shopee to bring its Shopping affiliate program to Thailand. This will enable content creators in the country to tag Shopee products in their YouTube videos, which will let them earn revenue for product recommendations. [BYD surpasses Tesla in Q3 earnings]( The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer has surpassed Tesla’s quarterly earnings, the first time it’s done so. BYD recorded a topline of over US$28 billion for the third quarter of 2024, while Tesla’s revenue stood at US$25 billion.
