a sales page editing tip ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ?

a sales page editing tip ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  Every time I edit [the sales page for Email Stars]( it’s a chance to see how my marketing style has changed, how much braver I’ve gotten, and clearer on what I will and will not do to make a thousand dollars. This latest round of edits was no exception. I started by deleting almost every testimonial that had a money claim, or hinted at huge profits for only a little work. I’d scrubbed these before but this time I was more ruthless i.e. braver. I kept some of the ones that included more context—like the copywriter Ieva Dalbinam who said of my templates: "They have also helped me ROCK some really great $1.5K VIP days... (like the one where the client asked me to come in mid-launch because NOTHING was happening... and we ended up having a near-$100K launch in the end 💸)." Next I did a search for the word "easy" and took out all the copy that made it sound like there’s some magic trick people that will change everything. But I did keep phrases like: "Easy-to-find" —> It’s not hard to get what you need from Email Stars (like a breakdown on welcome emails), knowing you’ll come back later when you need something different (like a lesson on planning bonuses, upsells and downsells) "Easy-to-follow" —> You won’t get lost or overwhelmed since most of the modules and lessons are entirely self-contained, and you can watch them as needed "Easy-to-read" —> Last year we made improvements to accessibility and created brand new transcripts for the people who read courses instead of watching them [I also searched "2022" because, duh! I don’t want to come off like a sloppy marketer who’s recycling old shit for a quick buck.] For the "Who is it not for" section, I was originally taught to add bullets that make the reader want to NOT identify with the person I’m talking about. For example, "This is not for you if you're looking to have a 6-figure launch next month, but you only have 25 people on your email list ." Nobody wants to be that bonehead. Bullets like that are designed to make you think, "Yuck! That’s obviously not me. I should buy this program to prove it." That’s manipulative, so I swapped out that bullet point for something more specific: "This is not for you if you're still figuring out what your offers are and who you're selling to. (Email Stars isn't a beginner program.)" My subscribers have thanked me for saying that on one of my other sales pages for Email Stars, so I made sure to include it on this one too. I made dozens of other minor edits to make sure the program is properly represented. It might be time for a complete overhaul soon, but for now it accurately represents what you get, so it’s what I’m using. And that’s my weirdo-backwards way of telling you that [Email Stars Home Study Edition is now available for purchase]( until Tuesday, March 21 @ 9 pm PT / 11:59 pm ET. (That’s in 6 days, FYI.) We’ve never offered it like this before so it’s a bit of an experiment. Here are some fun things about Email Stars Digital Program: - You can start in the middle, at the end, wherever you want — the modules are organized by sequences (like show-up emails, book a call sequences, or promo emails), so you can just start with whatever you’re writing next - My "power user" alumni have logged in literally 100s of times, since this is a program you’ll come back to as needed, whenever you’re writing a particular sequence or funnel - It lets you choose what level of persuasion you’re comfortable with —no need to do the 1000 lb gorilla approach if that doesn’t feel right for your biz - The private podcast means you can listen to it in the car, while you cook dinner, whenever—no need to log into Kajabi (I WISH ALL COURSES HAD THIS!) This isn’t the last email you’ll get about Email Stars enrollment. If you want me to stop emailing you about it, [click here to turn off enrollment-related emails.]( You’ll still get my weekly newsletter emails. This is the most budget-friendly way we’ve ever offered Email Stars so if you want to learn email marketing skills from me, it’s a great opportunity. If what you *really* want is to work with me personally and get the support and community that comes with the program when it’s offered in a small group cohort—then you’ll be happy to know that your purchase qualifies you for "alumni pricing" in future live rounds, so you’ll be able to apply this investment today towards joining that small group cohort in the Fall. It’s a great "get started now, work with me later" approach if that’s what you’ve been hoping for. [Scoop up Email Stars digital program here →]( And hit "reply" with your questions or if you’re not sure it’s for you. Peace, Love and Really Good Emails, Tarzan P.S. If you’re wondering, "Will you offer the home study edition again at this price and when?" the answer is, that depends. As I’ve said, this is an experiment. I’ll be watching for things like— - Do the students who purchase actually watch the modules? (Kajabi reports all of that. I’m fine if you only watch 20% as historical data shows that's really all students need to see results.) - What’s the refund rate? (This could indicate people are buying something they really don’t need, because they felt pressured.) - Do people actually buy? (Kind of obvious, but I focus my promotional efforts on things that are historically proven to work. I won’t do the same thing 2x and expect a different result.)
