I know it’s early, but I wanted to reach out over my morning coffee to share some pressing polling news you might’ve missed this week: One poll after another shows Eric Hovde, my right-wing, megamillionaire opponent, closing the gap in our Senate race — to the point where we are now statistically tied. Wisconsin’s Senate seat could determine which party controls the Senate majority, and Hovde is inching closer and closer to flipping this seat red. Unlike my opponent, I can’t write a seven-figure check to fund my campaign, instead I rely on grassroots supporters (like you!) to fuel our work. So when we see a slowdown in donations to emails like this one, it has a massive impact on our campaign’s ability to fight back against the tens of millions of dollars the GOP is spending to defeat me.
