{NAME}, A lot of people have been messaging me lately, asking what they should choose for a career and basically, how to make more money. Here's my answer. If you are like most people (there are a few exceptions) I recommend 2 things: Number one. 1. Create your own business. Even when it's only part time and you have another career. You never want to rely on just one source of income. Why not? Because it's dangerous. You don't want to put all your eggs in one basket. Number two... 2. Take the profits, or some of the profits, and invest them in real estate. Why real estate? First, because they are not making anymore land. Which means the demand will go up as the human population goes up. And second, everybody needs a place to stay. That's why it is the most in-demand business you can get in. These two steps above are exactly what I did. Back when I was 19, I worked at a farm for my first mentor, Joel Salatin. I became an entrepreneur soon after and started building my businesses. But for years I knew that one day, I wanted to come back and have my own farm in Shenandoah Valley, near to his. This was my long term plan. [And a few years back I achieved the plan I once thought it would take me a lifetime. I was able to buy 96 acres of land, not far from Joel. (click if you want to hear more on this story)]( Exactly as I planned. See, most people have this tendency to think that if you make a concrete plan that is very specific, somehow it will not work out or it will end up being much different than you imagined it to be. I don't really believe that. I think you can actually get somewhat precisely what you planned. Sure. In life, you will make mistakes, and you're going to have successes. That's just a pattern that happens to everyone. But when I look back, I see that the only time I'd actually make a mistake is when I really just didn't sit down to think things through. According to french philosopher Blaise Pascal, "All of humanity's problems stem from his inability to sit quietly in a room alone." So take some time to sit quietly in a room alone. Sit in a chair, or take a shower, or do whatever works best for you... Keep a notepad close by... And come up with your long-term plan. Elon Musk did it. He started planning the companies he has today when he was just 15 years old. Way ahead of time. Arnold Schwarzenegger did it too. When him and I had a conversation, he told me that everything he's doing now he planned during his teenage years. Even becoming a governor. It's true that many people are afraid to plan ahead because they think their dreams are too big and they'll only end up disappointed. But when people don't succeed, it’s usually not because their dream was too big. It's because they condensed it into a way too short period of time. You need to be patient, {NAME}. The bigger the dream, the more time it takes. That's why it's smart to start creating your layout for the long-term blueprint of your life ASAP. See, I don't think you necessarily get better at doing this the older you get. Yes, you get a little more wise when you get older. But you also get more cynical. When I look back at myself when I was a teenager and compare it to today, I think I was just as good then in thinking life through. I was probably more naive, but I wasn't incapable of making plans for the future. They say that your IQ peaks at 14 years old. So you have to keep in mind that for everything you gain with age through wisdom… You also lose something. Don't wait to get more experience, don't wait to get older, don't wait to be ready. If you want to be successful in the future… Especially for the long-term... Seize the day now. Tai ***Tai is a professional internet marketer.
