The Biden team is now aggressively rolling out the COVID-19 vaccine, people are wearing their masks, and cases are declining nationwide. But we can’t ignore the fact that the effects of the pandemic are cruelly uneven. Some people are unscathed. They haven’t gotten sick, they can work remotely and they remain employed. Millions of others need our help — they are unemployed because the business they work for shut down, their kids are not going to school in person, and they lack the money to pay the most basic bills — and I’m working hard for you and them. As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, I’m hard at work drafting and negotiating key COVID relief legislation. I’m working to provide a new round of stimulus checks, enhanced unemployment benefits, assistance to families in need and much needed aid to state and local governments, who have been on the front lines battling the pandemic since March. Along with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, I’ve proposed a plan to get desperately needed aid to restaurants, entertainment venues, and other small businesses that have been shuttered for months. [{NAME}, this is your government, I work for you, and you have a say in how we provide relief to families who need it. Will you take a moment to share your thoughts on COVID relief with me?]( [SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS]( This pandemic has had a multitude of effects on working people all over the country. It’s affected our health, our bank accounts, our social institutions, and so much more. That’s why we need our relief package to be comprehensive — we can’t leave any stone unturned or any person uncared for. [Your perspective will help shape our policy.
