Power just released a study of the airports in North America with the highest rates of traveler satisfaction, and the top large landing field probably isn't what you're guessing. In fact, [the winner]( probably isn't even the first Greater L.A.-area airport you'd think of. (I know I have a soft spot in my heart for Burbank, with its walkable rental car lot and retro airstair arrivals. But I was wrong on that hunch.) It turns out that the best large airport in the country is [Orange County's own John Wayne Airport](. The hub stands out for its compact, easy-to-navigate layout, and for its palm-swaddled setting, which makes visitors feel like their vacation has started the minute the wheels touch down. I'll definitely be considering flying through The Duke's namesake airport the next time I fly to Southern California.
