Instead, House Republicans are spending this week making major concessions to the extreme MAGA wing of the party, including: - Major cuts that will delay your tax refund - Increasing the national debt by $114 billion - Obstructing justice by undermining the work of the January 6 Committee - Introducing TWO laws that invade women’s health care privacy - A House rules package that creates more chaos and dysfunction While Republicans weaponize their slim majority against the American people, my Democratic colleagues and I used the same slim majority for the past two years to deliver major victories for South Sound families and Americans everywhere, including: - Lowering the cost of prescription drugs and the cost of insulin at $35 - Fighting for military families and veterans - More funding to help clean up Puget Sound - Bringing manufacturing jobs home - Building the workforce of the future - Expanding broadband access to rural and underserved communities - Standing up for civil rights and voting rights - Supporting small businesses Here’s what I can promise you: I will work with anyone who is serious about governing and wants to deliver for all of our communities.
