Enter Janet Jackson. No, I'm not kidding. Janet Jackson, of all people, has decided to weigh in on the Kamala Harris saga, and it's got the media in an absolute meltdown. During an interview with The Guardian, Jackson casually tossed out a remark that she "heard" Harris wasn't black, that she's actually Indian. First of all, where has Janet been hiding? Has she been getting her news from a game of telephone? The woman clearly didn't get the memo that Harris has a Jamaican father and an Indian mother. But, hey, in this day and age, who needs facts when you've got feelings, right? "I wonder where she stands on the forthcoming election. After all, I say, America could be on the verge of voting in its first black female president, Kamala Harris," Interviewer Nosheen Iqbal asked Jackson. "Well, you know what they supposedly said?" Jackson responded. "She's not black. That's what I heard. That she's Indian." "Well, she's both," Iqbal said. "Her father's white. That's what I was told. I mean, I haven't watched the news in a few days," she coughs. "I was told that they discovered her father was white," Jackson stated. What's even more laughable is the way Jackson floundered when asked if America is ready for Harris as president. She pretty much whispered that she doesn't know and then threw in a little drama, suggesting that no matter what happens, there will be mayhem. Mayhem? Really? Could this be any more vague and unhelpful? It's as if she's trying to predict the weather but with less accuracy. "I don't know," Jackson said. "Honestly, I don't want to answer that because I really, truthfully, don't know. I think either way it goes is going to be mayhem." "I think there might be mayhem," she continued. "Either way it goes, but we'll have to see." But wait, there's more. Naturally, as soon as Jackson's comments hit the airwaves, the [cancel mob]( sharpened their pitchforks. How dare she! Now, look, I'm no Janet fanboy, but the woman just lost her brother, Tito, last week. Maybe, just maybe, we can cut her a little slack. But no, in the land of instant outrage, there's no room for sympathy or context. Jackson's comments have sent the Twitter hordes into a frenzy, with everyone calling her "irrelevant" and demanding her cancellation. Classic. Janet Jackson slammed as 'irrelevant' and a 'leech' for questioning Kamala Harris' race: 'She's not black' [( [pic.twitter.com/OBwu8yJ6WN]( - Page Six (@PageSix) [September 21, 2024]( Bullying and trying to cancel Janet Jackson for speaking her mind right after the death of her brother with all of the contributions to Black culture she and her family have made, over an indian cosplayer is one ofthe most diabolical things the Democratic shills have pulled yet?? [pic.twitter.com/b22sjBSUcT]( - Red Joker ???? (@R3dJ0k3r) [September 22, 2024]( Michael Jackson's sister, Janet Jackson, just came out against Kamala Harris for claiming she's black "She's not black. That's what I heard. That she's Indian." Her comments have resulted in the entire mainstream media screaming and gnashing their teeth. THIS IS GOLD! [pic.twitter.com/7O1AWsPzL1]( - George (@BehizyTweets) [September 21, 2024]( And to top it off, we've got this whole bizarre sideshow with an [unauthorized "apology"]( floating around, issued by someone who isn't even her manager. You can't make this stuff up. Apparently, some guy named Mo Elmasri, who claimed to represent Janet, issued an apology that was later debunked. How does this even happen? It's like watching a circus of misinformation, with everyone juggling hot takes and nobody bothering to get the facts straight. Harris's real problem isn't Janet Jackson's off-the-cuff remarks or the cancel mob that comes after anyone with a dissenting opinion. Her problem is herself. People don't trust her because she doesn't give them a reason to. When you spend more time dodging questions than answering them, folks start to wonder what you're hiding. And right now, with the stakes as high as they are, that's a dangerous game to play.
