A new report from Axios seems to uncover some serious behavior about paid ads on the internet. The report suggests that the Harris campaign has been modifying press headlines and incorporating these doctored versions into their advertisements. These altered versions present what appears to be misinformation, and are being utilized in Google ads without the consent of the various news bodies associated with the manipulated headlines. ???? The Harris campaign has been editing news headlines and descriptions within Google search ads that make it appear as if the Guardian, Reuters, CBS News and other major publishers are on her side, Axios has found. [( - Jim VandeHei (@JimVandeHei) [August 13, 2024]( Kamala's team has been modifying news headlines and details within Google search advertisements to create an impression as though acclaimed publishers like the Guardian, Reuters, CBS News, and others are endorsing her, as per a recent report. These ads are so identical to the authentic news results from Search that they have taken news organizations by surprise. In the political arena, this is about as dirty as it gets and could imagine if the Trump campaign was doing this? Sure, some ads might have twisted headlines out of context in the past, but to actually alter them and then display them on Google as if they were factual-that's overstepping a boundary. Despite these ads featuring a "Sponsored" tag, the average user might not immediately recognize them as artificial. Google is saying that there was a "glitch." NEW: Google blames a "glitch" for how the Harris campaign was able to trick internet users into thinking reputable news sites were giving Kamala favorable reporting. It's really weird how these "glitches" always seem to benefit the left. Axios released a report revealing how? The writer of the [Axios piece]( is saying that it's perfectly ok for Kamala's team to do this. Yesterday, Sara Fischer of Axios threw a fit on CNN over "disinformation" and Elon Musk allowing Trump to "say whatever he wants." Today, she's hand-waving away the Kamala Harris campaign editing press headlines in ads to spread disinformation. Incredible.
