Dear {NAME}, With the new school year upon us, we’d like to remind you of ways to protect your children. 1. “No shots, no school” is simply not true in most states. If you need help with exemptions available in your state, visit the section of your state’s page listing your options (see image below). If you need more help, feel free to reply to this email. 2. While on your state page, make sure you check your state’s minor consent laws. It’s important to know what a minor can say “yes” to -- without your knowledge or consent. To understand why, read number three. 3. Please be extra careful about what you sign this year. Many states are implementing [School-based Health Centers]( (SBHCs) and are offering a “convenient one-time” signature for all the services offered in the school’s clinic for the entire year. But the convenience of blanket “pre-consent” has come at a cost for students across the U.S., as many children have been medicated or vaccinated behind their parents’ backs. ([Click for an example of this type of consent form.]() Please check your child's back-to-school paperwork carefully, looking for any form asking you to give consent for your child to be treated medically at school. Unsure if you have SBHCs in your school? [This link may offer you more information about what’s happening in your area.]( 4. Tell your child to let you know if anyone attempts to assess them or provide treatment. Advise them to refuse to participate in any surveys*, discussions with, or visits by anyone other than their teachers, the school administration or the school nurse. *Did you know that our children are increasingly subjected to surveys during school hours? And the information being collected is not directly related to their education, but instead features questions about their home life and their belief systems. Because of the U.N. agenda to make schools a "community home," many parents rightly object to this. It is the role of parents, not the school, to shape a child’s moral and/or religious beliefs. Privacy is the underpinning of individual liberty. Surveys and health care without parents present are detrimental to your family’s privacy. Have a conversation with your child about being aware of service providers and outside educators at school. Many parents are telling their children to opt out of any surveys or health assessments and to let them know if anyone other than their teachers or the school nurse asks personal questions or talks to them about their emotions or health. It is up to us to stand guard for our children and their health. Be sure to talk openly to your friends and neighbors about SBHC’s, so the awareness grows. Need help sharing this knowledge? Check out our [at-a-glance handout]( that breaks down the issue into bite-sized chunks to help you better understand and explain. Finally, stories compel lawmakers to shore up our rights, so please share your experiences with our team. We’re working to make sure parental rights remain as strong as possible. You can [share your stories]( here or email any consent forms to our team here: advocates@standforhealthfreedom.com.
