Apple Event preview, best of IFA, the last word on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold Created for {EMAIL} | [Web Version]( September 6, 2024 CONNECT WITH TECH RADAR  [Facebook]( [X]( [Instagram]( [Youtube]( [Tech Radar]( [SIGN UP]( ⋅ [WEBSITE]( [] Welcome to the Week in Review [] Welcome I know, I know, you want to talk about Apple. We are just days away from the big Glowtime event but cool your jets. This week has been a big one for foldables, smart home technology, TVs, and flying cameras, so let's talk about all that for a moment, shall we? The team is wrapping up a busy week in Berlin where IFA celebrated 100 years of technology and took the wraps off cool earbuds, smart lights, smart watches, better wireless charger technology, and a lot of new Intel Lunar Lake-based systems that look to steal the performance, efficiency and battery crowns from Apple Silicon and Qualcomm's X-series. I'd say we came away impressed. Be sure to check out our Best of IFA awards to catch up on the show's top products. Speaking of products you look up to, DJI finally launched its new Neo drone. It's small, light, smart, and cheap. Yes, it even has a 4K camera. I haven't wanted a DJI drone this much since the first Mavic Air. Back in the US, CEDIA Expo is bringing us all kinds of new 8K TVs, sound systems, and projectors. TechRadar's [Home Theater week]( is keeping track of all of it. Keep checking in if you plan on upgrading your home theater setup (and don't we all). A few weeks after Google shared all its Pixel goodness in California, we have Mobile Editor Phil Berne's excellent review of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It's probably the best foldable phone ever. I can tell you I've been enjoying it too, though I still wish it had digital stylus support on that giant 8-inch foldable display. There won't be a foldable at Apple's Glowtime event on Monday, but we do expect iPhone 16 phones, some Apple Watches, and maybe some AirPods. Nothing will claim as much ink (I know, the web doesn't use ink) as Apple Intelligence. None of us know just how much of all the promised AI abilities will be live with the new phones. Perhaps that doesn't matter since this will be one of the broadest AI releases since Google popped AI Summaries on top of all our search results. I'll be on the ground at the Apple event along with our Managing Editor News, Jake Krol. It's gonna be intense. You better be sticking with TechRadar for all of it so we can talk about it all next week.
