TheCUBE Breaking Analysis + upcoming livestreams As the artificial intelligence market evolves rapid

TheCUBE Breaking Analysis + upcoming livestreams [Searching for gold in enterprise AI]( As the artificial intelligence market evolves rapidly, new companies are acting fast to monetize and capitalize on the latest technology for the long-term. While overall spending on IT is decreasing, the spending on AI is now increasing as enterprises look for ways to offset the cost of AI by reducing spending in other areas. Clearly, CIOs and other business leaders are seeing this not simply as a profitable trend, but the inevitable future it would be wise to start adapting to now.  In this week’s [Breaking Analysis]( industry analyst Dave Vellante converses with Andy Thurai, VP and principal AI analyst at Constellation Research, to discuss factors driving AI adoption, IBM’s failures and opportunities with its Watson AI platform, AWS’ latest efforts in large language models and key insights from Google’s I/O conference. How to best apply AI AI has become an increasingly popular tool for businesses in recent years, with a 40% to 60% overlap between AI adoption in enterprise technology and embedded AI in software, according to Enterprise Technology Research. The rapid advancements of tools by AI leaders and independent firms mean companies are trying to figure out how to apply these tools to create a competitive advantage, with most businesses looking to ride the AI wave. Investment capital has shifted to fund early-stage AI startups relatively cheaply compared to previous boom cycles. Furthermore, companies are using AI to reduce costs and improve efficiency to reduce spending in other areas, offsetting investment in AI.  Microsoft's position since the OpenAI partnership has escalated dramatically among the big three hyperscalers dominating the market. In fact, Microsoft experienced a phenomenal jump in market share due to ChatGPT hype, outperforming its competitors, while Azure Arc, a hybrid management, deployment security solution, boasts 15,000 customers. Interestingly, despite the hype, OpenAI has only 2,500 customers. However, Microsoft is leveraging AI’s potential to challenge Google’s dominance in the search advertising market while aiming to become the go-to option for AI solutions by training users on its powerful AI infrastructure.  Learn which businesses are likely to capitalize the most from the recent AI boom and what that means for the industry at large [here](. [Get the full report]( [Taming the Twitterverse while the AI tornado remains a work in progress]( [TheCUBE Pod]( episode 11, discusses Twitter’s shocking business news alongside a string of shakeups to the IT industry, including the waning interest in cryptocurrency and new demands that AI is creating for the field. TheCUBE hosts John Furrier and Dave Vellante span a breadth of timely issues, including highlights from Open Source Summit, an exploration of what startups look for in foundation artificial intelligence models, Miami's iconic cryptocurrency scene, fraud charges brought against Mike Lynch regarding the CEO's sale of Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard Enterprises, and Microsoft's efforts at a sustainable computing landscape with the intent to acquire nuclear fusion company Helion. Taming tech, monetizing platforms Succeeded by Linda Yaccarino, Elon Musk is transitioning from his role as Twitter CEO to chairman after failing to monetize Twitter Blue. TheCUBE hosts suggest that Yaccarino’s media background as head of advertising at NBC Universal can help solve this issue and is a good call for Twitter overall. Yet Vellante doubts that the new Twitter show by former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson will attract advertisers who left the platform in the wake of Twitter Blue’s troubled attempts at monetizing Twitter. Vellante also doubts that many will leave the platform because of his presence, noting, “I think it's a smart move by Tucker Carlson, because Twitter is this global platform and it'd be a shame if people just leave because he's on it. I would like to see a point-counterpoint; bring Anderson Cooper on Twitter as well.” The analysts then recap theCUBE’s top reports from live coverage of the Open Source Summit in Vancouver, where Furrier sees developers and community leaders collaborating on open-source innovation and shaping a change in the industry. As if AI was not evolving fast enough, Furrier suggests we’re in the midst of an AI tornado and if the “open source community isn't strong enough to get inside the tornado … you're gonna get spun out and just thrown.”  Catch up with the latest conversation [here](.
