After a protracted and embarrassing Speaker election, they’ve passed legislation that offers tax breaks to their rich friends and donors and attacks reproductive freedom nationwide. Instead of addressing inflation, cutting costs, or creating jobs, they’re putting their energy into baseless political “investigations”. You and I both know that people are sick and tired of negativity in politics… They want leaders who focus on governing, not scoring petty political points. As our new Leader, Hakeem Jeffries put it, I’m in Congress to champion normalcy instead of negativity, democracy instead of demagogues, and economic opportunity instead of political extremism. That’s what I want to see Congress get back to. That’s why it’s critically important to retake the House majority in 2024, so we can get back to delivering for the American people.
