They are tiny, pink, and wrinkly, and about the size of a stick of butter. They can't see, hear, or regulate their body temperature, and they can't even go potty on their own. That's why their mamas have to take care of everything for them. In the early weeks of a baby panda's life, their mother will not leave their side, not even to eat or drink. That's how dedicated they are to their little ones! But if a mother panda has twins, she might not be able to care for both of them at the same time. In that case, caretakers in captivity will often step in to help out. Sometimes, baby pandas get separated from their moms, which can be scary for them. That's what happened to Min Min's baby. The caretakers had to keep her warm in an incubator, but they were worried that Min Min wouldn't recognize her daughter when they were reunited. You see, sometimes adult animals will reject their babies if they smell like humans. When the time came to introduce Min Min and her baby, it didn't look good at first. Min Min didn't seem interested in her little one at all. But after a while, she started to come around. Maybe she was tired of all the crying? Whatever the reason, she finally picked up her baby in her mouth and cuddled her until she stopped crying. It was such a relief to see them together again! When they arrived at the property, they were taken aback by how dilapidated it had become since its construction almost two hundred years ago. The officials who assessed it gave it a value of only $45,000 (around $89,000 in 2023). Despite the daunting task ahead of them, Peter and Hilarie rolled up their sleeves and got to work. They bought a trailer to stay in while they repaired the house and set about tackling the various repair tasks one by one. Peter used his knowledge from architecture school to take on the job himself and started by tearing down an old kitchen wing, salvaging some of the foundation stones which he would use later to build a stone wall. Inside, Peter found dry-rotted beams and rotting wood floors. The biggest challenge, however, was the weak foundation – made with lime and sand in 1860 – which had been eroded away over time. It was a labor of love for this couple, crafting something new out of something that once held so much meaning for their family. Despite setbacks along the way, their patience paid off as Peter and Hilarie eventually turned this run-down house into something spectacular. Not only did they restore it, but they also reclaimed the surrounding farmland in 2013 and used it as their main source of income. It’s incredible what can be achieved when people are determined to preserve what matters most, especially when it’s approached with the utmost love and care. This newly remodeled home stands tall today as a testament to that dedication – a symbol of resilience that will surely last for many more generations to come. Lauren and Kaylee, from Kentucky, have been clogging since they were very young. The passion for the sport has seen them achieve great success, including awards, competitions, and even appearing on Nickelodeon’s game show, Figure It Out. Their incredible routine at Clogging Champions of America is something special to behold. Dressed in the same matching outfits and hairstyles, the sisters start their performance with their backs to the audience. As soon as the twangy music begins, they grab each other’s hands and launch into their high-energy routine. It's no surprise that viewers are amazed by their lightning-fast feet! Kaylee started clogging at five years old whereas Lauren was just three years old when she began her journey with clogging, Kentucky’s official state dance and a part of its Appalachian culture. It's an exciting style of dance that not everyone gets to experience often. Lauren and Kaylee are no strangers to entering competitions either, having competed in numerous events over the years. Their 2018 appearance on The Gong Show saw their talent shine through with their act called “The Terror Tap Twins." It's an amazing name that matches their energy-filled dance routine set to a quick-paced bluegrass song! For anyone looking for unique performances that you don't see every day, there's no denying that this duo will bring joy to your life with every step they take together. There's something so captivating about watching these two move in perfect unison – all while radiating so much enthusiasm and excitement – that you can't help but get carried away!
