Trending Loveable Stories [:newspaper:] Source: Facebook / Madison Palm ANIMALS [Rescue Corgi Spreads Love and Heals Hearts]( Cora the corgi had a rough start in life, living outside, underfed, and never seeing a vet. But her luck changed when Madison Palm rescued her at seven-years-old and gave her a forever home in Idaho. Cora's sweet and loving personality even led her to train as a therapy dog to help others. During a layover at the Seattle airport, Cora surprised Madison by sneaking away to a man sitting alone. The man, heartbroken over his dog passing away the night before (which Madison only learned after the fact), petted and comforted Cora. It was clear that Cora had sensed the man's grief and offered him the love and companionship he needed. Madison shared the heartwarming moment on Facebook and it quickly went viral. People fell in love with Cora's extra-big heart and ability to comfort those who are hurting. As one Facebook user put it, "She is such a beautiful soul." Cora's Instagram shows that she's now living a fun and adventurous life with her mom and four-legged sibling, but her true calling is to help others. Madison believes that Cora has the ability to sense sadness and empathize with people, making her a natural-born therapy dog. For Cora, comforting people is her favorite thing to do. Cora's story is a reminder of the power of love and companionship, even in our darkest moments. It's also a testament to the impact that rescue dogs can have on our lives. Thanks to Madison's love and care, Cora was able to go from a life of neglect to one filled with joy, purpose, and the ability to comfort those who need it most. On the day before Thanksgiving, he heard growling coming from outside his Nevada County, California home. He quickly ran out to find an absolutely terrifying scene - a 350-pound bear dragging his 90-lb rescue pit bull, Buddy, by the head. Without hesitation, Kaleb made the brave decision to save his beloved pup by jumping on the bear and beating it with his bare hands. Miraculously, he was able to wrestle Buddy away from its grip, but his pup still needed immediate medical attention. Since the closest vet hospital was closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, Kaleb made an emergency trip to Mother Lode Veterinary Hospital in Grass Valley. After three hours in surgery, Buddy returned home with staples in his ears and head and stitches on his lip.Though Buddy is recovering well and has been resting comfortably at home since Thanksgiving Day, Kaleb's battle isn't quite over yet. The same 350-pound bear has appeared at Kaleb's home several times since then, almost as if it wants its food back! Kaleb's selfless act of bravery will never be forgotten. He sacrificed himself without hesitation to ensure that his beloved pup would be safe and sound, displaying a level of love we could all learn from! Despite their hairy situation (no pun intended), we are thankful that both Kaleb and Buddy are safe now and hope for a speedy recovery for Buddy soon! Well, that wasn't the case for 11-year-old Lauren Nelson. This little ball of energy had a dream to create her very own tiny home out of a camper, and she did just that! Lauren was inspired to make her plan after flipping through an American Girl doll magazine. She spotted a cheap VW toy van for $650 and decided she wanted to create her own tiny home out of a camper. Her mother was surprised when Lauren presented her with the idea, and her husband was even more stunned. "That's ridiculous, you could buy your own camper for that price," he exclaimed. Lauren didn't let his comment discourage her. Instead, she saved all her allowance money and other small earnings in an envelope to purchase her dream camper. Her neighbor down the street put up a "For Sale" sign for their 20-foot long camper, and Lauren knew it was the one for her. She negotiated a deal and bought it for $400, which was all the money she had in her bank account. The renovation work wasn't easy for a girl with little to no manual work experience, but Lauren was determined to achieve her perfect tiny home. She saved up more money to purchase the necessary furnishings and accessories, and the end result was a beautiful, simplistic space adorned with blacks, whites, and greys. Lauren's tiny home contains a comfy living space, a four-bed bedroom, a tiny bathroom, and a kitchen, with additional storage space located in cupboards. Her parents gave her the creative space necessary to make it all happen and saw it as an opportunity to teach their daughter valuable life skills. And Lauren did learn a lot as she redid this camper. She challenged herself and ended up with a lovely space to call her own. Lauren's determination and passion have undoubtedly inspired many to chase their dreams and not hold back. Who knows what other amazing things this little girl will accomplish in the future? The sky's the limit!
