Which is better? I’ve noticed that I’m 100x more understanding of someone’s mistakes

Which is better? I’ve noticed that I’m 100x more understanding of someone’s mistakes when I have also made that same mistake. Funny that, isn’t it? We’re all so judgemental of the small business owner who misses an email. Or the parent who gives their kid formula milk. Something I’ve noticed is that I became far less judgemental of others, the more I tried to create things. Videos. Blog posts. A business. The more creative energy I’ve poured into seeing something come to life, that could help or entertain people. The less energy I’ve had to complain or critique or criticise. Which is funny because the more people I see complain or pass judgement, the more likely I am to see them consume rather than contribute. Hours upon hours doomscrolling Instagram and YouTube shorts. Days spent watching Netflix. The more a person consumes, the more likely they are to complain. Except books - I don’t know why reading is such a fundamental differentiator. Reading books, especially fiction, helps you live through the lives of others and, hopefully, become a little less judgemental. Having said that, I’ve still noticed that people who do still find things to complain and criticise are often found NOT creating things. Creativity is an act of vulnerability. And the more you create, the more vulnerable you become. So I think, we’re far less quick to judge others, because we’re so aware of all our own vulnerabilities that we’ve put on display. P.S. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
