Campaign budgets often break down to quarterly, monthly, weekly, and, at certain points in the election cycle, even daily. In NYC? We have slightly different fundraising reporting deadlines than the Congressional campaigns you donate to or the Harris-Walz campaign. [And our most important fundraising deadline is just days away.]( It’s an unfortunate truth that campaigns are REALLY expensive. But what makes the NYC Mayoral race in particular so expensive? We need to reach a lot (A LOT) of voters. Nearly 1 million voters will cast their ballots in the June primary election. We’ll need to hire a lot of organizers, run a large-scale advertising campaign, and recruit volunteers in nearly every corner of the city to reach the voters we need to reach. We’re in the LARGEST media market in the United States. That means when we go to share Scott’s message in television advertising and other means, it costs a lot more than it may for other candidates. Thankfully, the NYC Campaign Matching Program allows us to spend time fundraising from everyday New Yorkers. Because when NYC residents donate $10 to $250 to our campaign, the city will match it 8-to-1. With our most important fundraising deadline just days away, we have to ask: [Can you make your first contribution to our campaign?]( [$10 → $90]( [$20 → $180]( [$30 → $270]( [$40 → $360]( [$50 → $450]( [Other Amount]( Thanks for everything, - Stringer for Mayor Scott Stringer is a lifelong New Yorker who has served New York City as Comptroller, Manhattan Borough President, and Assembly Member.
