This is one of the most important days of the year for our work. [Save the Children]( The dedicated supporters who make up our Save the Children family are absolutely central to the work we do every day for children around the world. The generosity of people like you is fueling all of our efforts to give more children a healthy start in life, an opportunity to learn and protection from harm. That’s why, with Giving Tuesday – one of our biggest fundraising days of the entire year – quickly approaching, we wanted to reach out to you as someone we know who cares deeply about supporting children. As children face everything from the devastation of natural disasters to the impacts of hunger, poverty and conflict, they need your support like never before. Giving Tuesday is an essential day for our budgeting process so that we can determine how we can help children in the year ahead. It’s only with your support that we’re able to be there for children in crisis – whatever they’re facing. Read on to see the difference your support can make this Giving Tuesday. [Photo of Valentina*]( 9-year-old Valentina* is growing up outside of Lima, Peru – where her home does not have access to drinking water and her family struggles to provide food for her and her sisters. Save the Children began working with 117 soup kitchens in her community. Our team taught the soup kitchen staff about nutrition for children and equipped them with cooking and sanitation supplies. Now, Valentina and the children in her area are able to access nutritious meals – helping them grow up healthy and strong. [Photo of Ismael*]( 13-year-old Ismael* had to flee his home in Sudan with his parents and four siblings when violence intensified. Now living in a center for displaced families, Ismael and his siblings attend a Save the Children Child Friendly Space – where they’re able to play with other children and have the chance to relax during such a stressful time. [Photo of Nafeesa*]( 10-year-old Nafeesa* lives in a makeshift hut in Pakistan, where her house once stood before it was destroyed by devastating flooding. Her school was also destroyed in the aftermath – and now Nafeesa and her siblings struggle to simply survive. Our team has established a Temporary Learning Center in the village she grew up in, and now Nafeesa is able to continue her education despite these major setbacks caused by natural disaster. Right now, there are millions of other children like Valentina, Ismael and Nafeesa who need urgent resources and care. That’s what makes your support on Giving Tuesday especially important this year. We’ll be reaching out with more information soon about how you can make an impact for children on this global day of generosity – but for now, thank you for all you do.
