Learn more about how your support is helping children facing hunger [Save the Children]( [Your support can feed children’s futures. 153 million That’s how many children are facing food insecurity around the world. 70% That’s the percentage of the world’s hungry people who live in conflict zones, which is the biggest driver of hunger. 750,557 That’s how many children we treated last year for acute malnutrition across nine hunger-affected countries thanks to our community of supporters. The impacts of hunger are even more detrimental for children living through humanitarian crises like the war in Gaza, the surge of gang violence in Haiti and the escalating conflicts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Supporters like you have been instrumental in fueling our efforts to deliver lifesaving aid to children in hunger-stricken areas like these.]( [GAZA The entire population in Gaza is experiencing extreme hunger. Living in a displacement camp in Rafah, Mostafa* worries for his eight children who don't even have the strength to play due to malnutrition. But with your support, we’ve reached 338,000 people, including 174,000 children, in the region. HAITI With the rise of extreme poverty in Haiti, more children like Esther* and her brother, Meridien,* aren’t receiving the proper nutrition they need to live healthy lives. At one point, Meridien was so weak from hunger that he wasn’t even able to walk. But with support from caring people like you, we were able to provide Esther and Meridien’s mother with the nutritional counseling she needed to take better care of her family’s health. Now, Meridien is able to walk and play with his sister, Esther, and their other siblings. SOLOMON ISLANDS In the Solomon Islands, food shortages are commonplace for families like Junior’s* due to low crop yields. Usually a funny, charismatic teen, Junior found it hard to crack jokes due to the climate crisis destroying his crops and bringing hunger to his family. Save the Children has transformed farming communities like Junior’s by teaching them how to improve their soil and build sustainable, climate-adaptive gardens. Now Junior and his family have greater food security thanks to supporters like you, giving him the strength to smile again.]( [Around the world, devastating humanitarian conflicts, the climate crisis, poverty and inequality are putting children’s lives at risk – especially those affected by hunger. Thanks to caring people like you, we’ve helped over 35 million children through hunger-related interventions. It’s because of you that we have the resources we need to provide lifesaving aid to children and families battling hunger and other hardships. Thank you for your dedication to the world’s children. Your help is pivotal as we work to protect children from the impacts of hunger and other humanitarian crises. If you haven’t had a chance to make a donation yet, please give today so we can continue to feed their futures. Our work toward a better and brighter future for children everywhere wouldn’t be possible without your support.
