The Council promotes policies to reduce and eventually eliminate nuclear threats and minimize the risk of war. Dear {NAME}, In my run for Senate, I was honored to have the endorsement of Council for a Livable World, which has been at the forefront of U.S. arms control and national security policy for more than half a century and has been instrumental in supporting treaties that keep us all safer from nuclear catastrophe. I would like you to consider [adding your name]( to the Council's email list for important updates on critical national security and nuclear weapons issues. The Council has been heavily involved in congressional campaigns since its founding by Leo Szilard in 1962. The Council promotes policies to reduce and eventually eliminate nuclear threats and minimize the risk of war. It does this by helping elect Congressional candidates who share their goals and supporting Members of Congress once in office. In fact, the Council supported President Joseph Biden in his first longshot campaign for the Senate in 1972. That support was bookended this year when the Council, for the first time in its 58-year history, endorsed a candidate for President: President Biden. In this year’s election, the Council raised $1.5 million for 34 victorious candidates. Again, I urge you to join Council for a Livable World’s [email list]( [make a contribution]( so they can continue their important work, and [support their current endorsed candidates.]( Thank you again for supporting my campaign. Sincerely, Sara Gideon --------------------------------------------------------------- Sara Gideon for Maine PO Box 812 South Freeport, ME 04078 This email was sent to {EMAIL}.
