The idea that a woman would provide for the man in her life is something any Nigerian would find irritating to the ears.
Forget civilization or âwokenessâ, men are still expected to be the breadwinners in their family, especially if it is a nuclear family.
They are the head, and as most Christians will let you know, âa man who cannot provide for his family is worse than an infidel.â
Sure, modern practices in the Western world suggest that the financial burden of marriage be shared between the man and the woman, with the heaviest responsibilities carried by the one who earns more...but would that really work here? [Read more](

2019 Elections: 'Results declared by INEC are free and fair' - UK
The United Kingdom (UK) says the results of the presidential elections held on Saturday as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is free and fair.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the UKâs Minister of State for Africa, Harriett {NAME} who said the result declared was consistent with the civil society parallel vote tabulation process.

Onnoghen: Supreme Court to decide ex-CJN's fate, May 17
The Supreme Court has scheduled May 17 for the hearing of the suit by Cross River State Government seeking to set aside the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen.
A seven-man panel of the court, led by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour fixed the date on Thursday after taking arguments from lawyer to parties.
