URGENT: Children and families have almost nothing left and nowhere safe to go. [International Rescue Committee logo.]( URGENT: With the situation worsening hour-by-hour in Gaza, we need your help. Children and families have almost nothing left and nowhere safe to go...they are constantly at risk of dying from air strikes or starvation. [Can you help fund lifesaving aid for children and families in Gaza and other crises?]( [RUSH YOUR DONATION NOW »]( {NAME}: We are horrified by the news of at least 40 Palestinians killed and dozens injured–including women and children–in an Israeli air strike that hit an area where displaced people were sheltering in Rafah, setting tents on fire. This area was a safe zone, and this event reaffirms our repeated warnings that no place is safe in Gaza. Camps housing displaced civilians must never be targeted. The IRC urgently calls for Israel to halt its offensive in Rafah, for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, and for the release of all hostages. International Humanitarian Law must be respected, and civilians must be protected. It is imperative that all parties uphold their humanitarian obligations. The level of destruction and suffering in Gaza right now is unprecedented, and the humanitarian needs are immense. People are being killed and families torn apart. Children are dying, from air strikes and starvation. [{NAME}, with people's survival hanging in the balance, will you donate to help children and families in Gaza and in other crises around the world today?]( [RUSH YOUR DONATION NOW »]( "The IRC is working around the clock, alongside incredible Palestinian partners, to do everything we can to save lives." – Bob Kitchen, the IRC's Vice President of Emergency Programs reporting from Gaza Children and families in Gaza urgently need food, safe water and medical supplies. The IRC is working with local partners to deliver immediate aid to those in desperate need. For example, our teams have been providing surgeries and medical care in Gaza through our Emergency Medical Teams, in partnership with Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). To date, we have provided at least 384 surgeries and 1,243 consultations. And the IRC and our partner, the Agriculture Development Association (PARC), are currently working around the clock to help families facing hunger in Gaza. Together, we are distributing 1,700 fresh vegetable baskets, as well as enhancing access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services, by enhancing facilities in 10 shelters. With partners, we also launched six mobile community centers offering mental health and psychosocial support to children and families in Gaza and the West Bank. We wouldn't be able to do this work without your support. Thank you again. –Andrea @ IRC [RUSH YOUR DONATION NOW »]( The International Rescue Committee | [Rescue.org]( 122 East 42nd Street, New York, New York 10168-1289 USA To ensure future delivery of IRC e-mails, please add our reply address updates@rescue.org to your Address Book.
