Well, here we go again with CBS playing its favorite game-cherry-picking interviews to fit their preferred narrative. This time, it's House Speaker Mike Johnson who's calling them out for selectively editing his answers during a Face the Nation appearance. You'd think a national news outlet would at least try to cover all the bases, but no-CBS conveniently snipped out five full minutes of Johnson's remarks on disaster relief and election integrity. And of course, what's left makes little sense. Coincidence? Doubtful. CBS has been under fire for selectively editing their interviews to PROMOTE Democrats and UNDERMINE Republicans. Yesterday, they chose to cut FIVE important minutes out of my nearly 15 minute interview. You can be the judge as to why. Stand by for the receipts. [pic.twitter.com/Rv4PK1Cv1W]( - Speaker Mike Johnson (@SpeakerJohnson) [October 15, 2024]( Let's talk about the disaster relief clip first. Johnson was discussing FEMA's abysmal response to Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, and what aired on CBS was a disjointed 11-second soundbite that barely scratched the surface. Johnson, however, had a lot more to say-like how two weeks after the storm hit, people were still stranded, waiting for help. He urged CBS to send their own cameras to talk to the people directly affected. But why show that? Better to make it look like Johnson was vague and out of touch, right? I recently traveled to NC and victims of Hurricane Helene told me nearly two weeks after landfall, the Biden-Harris Administration had STILL not provided them with all the resources they desperately needed. But CBS selectively edited OUT ENTIRELY this first-hand perspective. [pic.twitter.com/ZjO5LWdtsM]( - Speaker Mike Johnson (@SpeakerJohnson) [October 15, 2024]( Now, on to the juicy stuff-election integrity. CBS did what they do best, cutting Johnson's comments about states allowing non-citizens to vote and Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin's fight to clean up the voter rolls. Johnson pointed out that the Biden administration actually sued Virginia for trying to ensure only eligible voters can cast ballots. Yeah, you read that right-apparently, making sure non-citizens don't vote is now a crime in Biden's America. Apparently, CBS also doesn't want you to hear about Virginia Gov. Youngkin, who is trying to clean the state's voter rolls so non-American citizens can't vote there. We need more states doing this, but the Biden-Harris Administration is SUING VIRGINIA and trying to STOP it. [pic.twitter.com/10JIJSNkPR]( - Speaker Mike Johnson (@SpeakerJohnson) [October 15, 2024]( CBS aired a tiny clip of Johnson discussing voter fraud but conveniently chopped out the part where he explains how the House passed the SAVE Act, which would require proof of citizenship before registering to vote. Naturally, this was blocked in the Senate by-you guessed it-Chuck Schumer and his Democratic pals. Johnson laid it out clearly: if the Biden administration actually cared about election integrity, they'd be supporting efforts like the SAVE Act instead of opening the border and creating doubts about who's really voting. But why air that when CBS can focus on the tired old 2020 election angle? The Biden-Harris Admin let millions of illegal aliens in our country. So, the House passed the SAVE Act to ensure only American citizens vote in American elections. CBS edited that out and focused on 2020 instead of immediate threats to election integrity. [pic.twitter.com/gXa07XFt8k]( - Speaker Mike Johnson (@SpeakerJohnson) [October 15, 2024]( Sure, CBS posted the full interview on YouTube, as if that makes up for their edited version on national TV. But let's be honest-most people are watching what airs on TV, not digging through YouTube for the uncut footage. The selective editing game is just another tactic to push the narrative they want, and it's becoming more obvious by the day. The fact is, Johnson's full answers-whether on disaster relief or election integrity-don't fit [CBS's agenda](. And when the media starts slicing and dicing interviews to push a particular viewpoint, it's no longer journalism; it's propaganda. The American people deserve better than that.
