Vice President Kamala Harris returned to her natural habitat this past weekend-Hollywood, of course-where she partied with celebrities and studio executives while millions of Americans were left to deal with the deadly aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Because, clearly, rubbing elbows with the likes of Demi Lovato and Stevie Wonder takes precedence over showing up for disaster-stricken communities in the Southeast. At a Harris-Walz fundraiser at the JW Marriott in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, Kamala couldn't have been happier to be back in the spotlight. "Oh, it's good to be home!" she reportedly exclaimed to a room full of Hollywood elites. Home, indeed. It seems the red carpet is far more appealing to Harris than the grim reality facing Americans who have lost homes, livelihoods, and loved ones in the hurricane. But hey, at least she's got her priorities straight-raising $28 million from celebrities like Jessica Alba, Lily Tomlin, and Sterling K. Brown, all while the rest of us deal with the fallout from an actual natural disaster. Meanwhile Kamala Harris is partying in Hollywood and raising 28 million dollars in funds for her party and says they can't give anymore resources to the flood victims in Florida, that's before the election imagine how bad things would get after the election if Kamala wins. [( - Tom Validakis (@TValidakis) [September 30, 2024]( While Kamala was rubbing shoulders with Hollywood's finest, former President Donald Trump was preparing to visit the storm-ravaged parts of Georgia on Monday to assist with relief aid distribution. Talk about a contrast in leadership. As Trump rolls up his sleeves, Kamala was busy clinking glasses with former Disney chief Jeffrey Katzenberg and Universal boss Donna Langley. You know, doing the hard work of fundraising while ordinary Americans are left to pull themselves out of the wreckage caused by Hurricane Helene. CNN: President Trump was treated "almost as though he is a sitting president" on the ground in Georgia - as Kamala and Biden were back in D.C. desperately trying to act like they didn't botch the hurricane response. "[President Trump] is clearly taking this seriously." [pic.twitter.com/6FgcrKa1N0]( - Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) [October 1, 2024]( Of course, the timing of Kamala's fundraising tour couldn't have been worse. With negative press rolling in, she was forced to cut short her glitzy Hollywood romp and head back to Washington, D.C., on Monday morning. But don't worry-she raised plenty of cash before she hopped on that plane. The cozy relationship between Kamala Harris and Hollywood is nothing new. Celebrities have always been a reliable source of money for Harris, dating back to her early political career in California. And now, with President Joe Biden stumbling through the summer and barely holding on after the massive cover-up of his cognitive decline, the Hollywood cash machine is all-in for Kamala. With millions of dollars pouring into her campaign, the message is clear: Hollywood may love her, but where does that leave the rest of us? ?? Donald Trump is raising millions of dollars on Gofundme for the victims of the hurricane in Georgia and North Carolina while Kamala Harris has completely abandoned them and spent all of her time raising money for herself while these people have no food or water and have lost... Even one of her biggest media allies, NBC News, is starting to sound the alarm. In a recent article, the network warned Democrats that Kamala's Hollywood hobnobbing could backfire. "Democrats cater to Hollywood, not average Americans," the article noted, in what might be the understatement of the year. Former President Trump arrives in Georgia: "The Governor's doing a very good job. He's having a hard time getting the President on the phone...The federal government is not being responsive...the Vice President, she's out someplace campaigning looking for money." [pic.twitter.com/2evEuyW6VF]( - CSPAN (@cspan) [September 30, 2024]( [Kamala Harris]( is proving to be a perfect case study of that old saying: actions speak louder than words. And while her words may be about helping Americans, her actions-spending the weekend among the glitterati while millions suffer-say something entirely different. The question is, how long will the American people put up with it?
