We met because we both started our home recording blogs and YouTube channels around the same time. Some would say that Graham and I were competitors, but I liked him right from the start. We became friends, then podcast co-hosts, then business partners for many years. I've learned many lessons over the years from Graham, directly and indirectly. Here are a few: 1. Collaboration is the Secret Sauce The most successful things I've done, whether it's in business or in music, have been things that I did with other people. It's tempting to go it alone, to DIY everything. It feels empowering, impressive, and sometimes it is. But more often than not, things work better in community. We're better together. 2. Be Willing to Evaluate How Things Are Working When I get something to work, I like to stick with it forever…even if it stops working. Graham, on the other hand, taught me the importance of regularly stepping back and taking a look at what you're doing. Is it working? Are there areas for improvement? When you ignore these questions, things can fester and grow stale. When it comes to your music, have the courage to take a hard look (er…listen, I guess) at it. Double down on your strengths. Shore up your weaknesses. One great way to do BOTH is to jump on Graham's flagship recording course: Total Home Recording. Inside, you'll get a fly-on-the-wall view into what it takes to make incredible-sounding recordings in a home studio. This course is on sale right now. $100 off the already-incredible price. Discount disappears tomorrow. Grab it here: [ Joe Gilder The Recording Revolution [Unsubscribe]( | Sent by The Recording Revolution 777 N Ashley Dr Unit 1306 • Tampa, Florida • 33602

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
