In an update on Monday, the company released a new tiered set of warnings that will now appear on tweets it deems to be misleading, disputed, or simply unverified. Tweets with potentially harmful, misleading information will now get a label that links to a page of trusted information about Covid-19. Tweets that could be severely harmful now display a warning that the user must click through to read the tweet, and Twitter says some of the worst misleading tweets will be removed altogether.
