RAPHA CUSTOM
TAKAMATSU TECH TEE
Japan-based Rapha Cycling Club member Shiro Matsuoka was one of the first to take advantage of the recent additions to the Rapha Custom range, needing a lightweight, breathable t-shirt to explore the rolling hills around his home in Takamatsu. Using the intuitive online design tool, he created his own Technical T-Shirt in minutes, making use of a wide range of patterns, logos and templates. With a bespoke design service now also available, there’s never been a better time to choose your own club colours.

“IT'S ALWAYS HARD TO PUT A FINGER ON YOUR FORM UNTIL YOU PIN A NUMBER ON”
RACERS'
SIGN ON
At long last, the racing calendar resumes next month with a sun-scorched and dusty Strade Bianche – a usual precursor to the cobbled Spring Classics. Ahead of the race, we caught up with Lawson Craddock from EF Pro Cycling to ask him how his form has held over the hiatus.
“Nothing about this year is normal, and it’s been all about adapting to the current situation. I hope that the Tuscan heat plays to my advantage after training in Texas and Spain over the summer, but it’s always hard to put a finger on your form until you pin a number on your back. Regardless, I cannot wait to restart the season and race with the rest of the team.”

WOMEN'S 100
LINDSEY FRAINE
A filmmaker based in London, Lindsey was diagnosed with endometriosis but does not let it stop her from riding or raising awareness about the disease. She is one of Emily Chappell’s invisible peloton – a collection of conjured companions she calls on for support in her toughest moments on the bike. You can read more about Lindsay’s story in the first of our feature series on strong, inspirational women to motivate you in the lead up to the Women’s 100 on September 6th.

GBDURO
BEHIND THE SCENES
When Lachlan Morton set off to ride the inaugural GBDuro in the summer of 2019, he had no idea what lay ahead - and neither did we. 2,000km of gravel, single track and walker's paths, frequently interrupted by the highest gates in the British Isle, snaked from Land's End to John O'Groats in an ultra-endurance bike race like no other. Stalked by a crew of five from Rapha, and battling the elements day and night, Lachlan finished the ride in a little over a week. It felt like a lifetime has passed. The effort was extraordinary, and left a lasting impression on all of us who witnessed it. This is our behind-the-scenes look at the ultimate alternative calendar event last year

AND FINALLY...
To travel far, you need to pack light. In the age of carbon, tri-bars and energy gels, it’s easy to take modern innovations for granted in an attempt to lighten your load. Back when even the humble bottle cage was revolutionary, in their quest to shave a few grams, one intrepid adventurer might have taken it a step too far...
