A video of Ukraine’s president surfaced on Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) calling for surrender to Russian forces. The video turned out to be, in the words of the FB banned and notorious former president, FAKE NEWS! The video revealed to be a[deepfake]( has been purged from the site while leaving social media indulgers sweating over the trickery tech is capable of. Now if you aren’t familiar with what deepfake is I suggest you watch this[video]( and let me just tell you now…. It’s not Tom Cruise. But this wasn’t the only shocking news coming out of Ukraine. The country is calling for more ties to be cut with Russia. Those ties being the $120 billion worth of contracts the giants of software have with the country creating a “[digital blockade](” as the Ukraine president called it. When the president tweeted this message he tagged SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft to “[stop supporting your products in Russia](”.
