[Stormy Daniels's Perfume Just Launched](
[Stormy Daniels](
To be a celebrity in this day and age means you probably have a side hustle that capitalizes on your fame with tangible things that people can buy. Rihanna has a clothing line with [Puma]( and a makeup collection, both called [Fenty](. Gwyneth Paltrow has [Goop](. Reese Witherspoon has a Southern-inspired clothing and lifestyle brand, [Draper James](.
But nothing is more tried-and-true than the celebrity fragrance. Ever since Elizabeth Taylor released White Diamonds in 1991, countless celebrities have used the strategy for its low-cost/high-margin earning potential. Now [Stormy Daniels](, the adult film star with arguably one of the most recognized names in America right now thanks to her [legal entanglements with President Donald Trump](, just released one.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, [announced the fragrance]( back in early June. It is called [Truth]( and costs $64.99.
Naming a scent is important, as it helps to evoke a feeling and tell a story. Celebrity fragrances in particular have to tell the story of their subject â or at least the story the celeb wants to portray. To wit, [Trumpâs two fragrances]( are called Empire and Success.
Many potential names for Danielsâs fragrance (the tagline of which is âembrace your truth.â) were kicked around, including Hush.
âThat just had bad connotations,â says Michael Ninn, the chief operating officer and creative director at [Itâs the Bomb](, the company that collaborated with Daniels to produce and sell the fragrance. (Recall that [Daniels was paid $130,000]( by Trumpâs then-lawyer Michael Cohen to remain silent about her alleged affair with the president.) Ninn says that the company scooped up the Truth name after [Calvin Klein]( legally released it.
Itâs the Bomb is a company that sells things meant to âenhance the sensual part of your life,â according to Ninn. Itâs not an adult product site per se, though there is at least one vibrator for sale. Mostly it sells colorful bath bombs and similar products that it makes in-house, including âPooBombsâ for the toilet and [CBD]( lubricant, although shoppers can find [penis-shaped soap](. Thereâs also a notation at the bottom of the site that says it will soon sell an ââI Swallowâ glassware and bar collection.â Think naughty Bath and Body Works.

[Segwayâs New Electric Skates Are the Latest Volley in the Scooter Wars](
[Segway's electric skates](
Hereâs a nonnegotiable fact: People love gadgets. But will they love miniature electric skates that are somewhere on the aesthetic spectrum between futuristic and kind of hideous? Segway sure hopes so.
The personal transportation company has debuted rechargeable roller shoes, [the Drift W1s](. Segway, the brains behind Gob Bluthâs [favorite transit method](, is marketing them as bringing âall the fun and coolness,â adding that they are the perfect purchase for âthe young generation who dare to stand out and create new trends.â
Unlike those [Heelys sneakers]( with the built-in wheels, Segwayâs e-skates are meant to be worn in combination with your own shoes. They consist of platforms that you stand on, and you control them by leaning in the direction you want to move. They operate at a maximum speed of 7.5 miles per hour and a ride can last about 45 minutes before the skates have to be charged. A smartphone app controls their settings, and thereâs a light at the bottom of the skates so they can be used at night.
Segwayâs latest gadget comes at a pretty opportune time. The hoverboard craze has all but died, after [most airlines]( and transportation services [like the MTA]( banned users from bringing them on board because their batteries were [spontaneously combusting](.
Cities including Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and [Austin]( are also [knee-deep in a battle]( with electric scooter companies that some have dubbed â[Scootergeddon](.â Companies [like Bird]( have been accused of creating a public nuisance and setting up shop without getting the [necessary city approval](.
Segwayâs roller shoes weigh 7.7 pounds each and are easier to transport than the electric scooters [being strewn across sidewalks]( and wheelchair ramps. And while they look pretty fun, they donât exactly seem like the safest thing to ride in traffic. The video promo shows the skates being used on flat terrain, but balance could definitely be an issue on anything rougher.
The company is throwing in a helmet for free with purchase, thank god, but it doesnât seem unreasonable to predict there will be trouble with these, as with any new transportation device.
If youâre interested in giving them a whirl, they cost $399 and will be available in August. Be sure to wear the helmet.
