Username: {NAME} User-ID: 228091345 Secure Login: [( The Pros and Cons of Nudism by Season 4 minute read time ★ Navigating the quarterly changes of the season can be challenging, whether for the clothed or unclothed. People have to contend with fluctuations in temperature, resources, and sometimes even energy as the Earth revolves around the sun. Each season has its pros and cons whether we pass the days clothed or not. For this list, here are some great and not-so-great things about the seasons, particularly the extremes of winter and summer, for those who practice nudism. [Learn About Naturism!]( [See What's Waiting For You!]( [#1 Naturist Destination!]( Winter Pros 1.) Cold weather provides a great excuse to cuddle under the covers with a partner or even alone. A warm mug of hot chocolate and a roaring fire offers a cozy and romantic atmosphere to enjoy. 2.) There have been studies to suggest sleeping is more effective in cooler temperatures so sleeping nude during the winter should offer the chance of deeper, more beneficial sleep without the artificial air of an air conditioning unit. 3.) If you have to go out in public where nudity is not allowed, you can drape yourself in the fluffiest of robes and socks and feel like you're wrapped in a cloud. Winter Cons 1.) It may be too cold for most of us to be nude outside depending on where we live during our winters. Those in climates that are more temperate won't have many adjustments to make. But those who have snow on the ground may have to be clothed more often than preferred. This may also mean an increase in energy bills in order to keep the home warm enough to keep a comfortable atmosphere. 2.) Skin can become painful and dry in colder weather because of the lack of moisture in the air. To combat this, consider purchasing a humidifier for your room or home, and to have creams and lotions specifically made to combat dry, irritated skin. Great suggestions for this include cocoa butter, shea butter, and even coconut oil. 3.) Just because it's not summer doesn't mean the sun's UV effects are diminished. In fact, for those in the Northern hemisphere, the sun is actually closest to the sun during the winter months! Regardless, it is imperative to maintain the same vigilance with sunblock and sun care that one would use during warmer weather. Just because it's cold doesn't mean the sun still doesn't shine! Summer Pros 1.) It's warm! When the temperatures go up, the number of clothes we were goes down. This is the perfect time to live an active nudism lifestyle, particularly outside. With warm weather and longer days, those who live a nudist lifestyle have plenty of time and opportunity to enjoy active days. 2.) With the longer, warmer days, there may be more activities that are organized and resorts for those who practice the nudism. Thrillist Travel has a nice list for those interested in resorts and retreats throughout the United States. Luckily, there are even a few that are open all year! 3.) Summer is a great season to learn about the nudism lifestyle if you've been curious. Because summer is the peak season for those who participate in the lifestyle, there are potentially all sorts of beginners meetings, camps, and retreats to visit while determining if this is something you, your significant other, and even your family may want to pursue. [18 Years Strong!]( [Join Our Camp!]( Summer Cons 1.) Clothes provide a measure of protection from the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays without many of us thinking about it. When adopting a nude lifestyle, however, one must be constantly vigilant about using sunblock to protect yourself from painful sunburn or worse. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the best sunscreen to use protects against UVA and UVB rays, is SPF 30+, and water-resistant. 2.) In addition to providing protection from the sun's rays, clothes also protect the body from scrapes, bruises, and irritation from the elements. Be mindful of where you walk, particularly if in areas of dense foliage, older playgrounds, or even your home. It is best to carry medicines such as antibiotic ointments, gauze, alcohol, and bandages in the event of cuts and bruises. 3.) During the summer, all sorts of ordinances regarding clothing come into effect that is either season-specific or newly adopted. Therefore, it makes sense to ensure wherever you go nudity is not illegal or against the rules and always care spare clothing just in case. Some businesses will not serve you without proper shoes and attire, so it's best to be as prepared as possible. Spring and autumn tend to feature the best of both summer and winter respectively. Whereas summer and winter are either too hot or too cold, spring and autumn tend to be just right. The temperatures are in that sweet spot you're not shuddering too hard and not sweating too much, so you can truly enjoy your day! However, all of the cons discussed for winter and summer apply in spring and autumn, too, with the added bonus of allergies! If you are allergic to the elements, you're going to need extra preparation, so make sure you have your allergy medicine and tissues handy!
