{NAME}, good morning from Michigan’s 8th District. Early voting in our primary continues today.

[Pamela Pugh for Congress]( {NAME}, good morning from Michigan’s 8th District. Early voting in our primary continues today. Our campaign ads are live on the air. Everything is heating up to a boiling point, with only 6 days left until our primary election. Unfortunately, our Washington D.C. establishment-supported opponent, Kristen McDonald Rivet, has been up on television with a huge ad buy from her out-of-state, mega-rich donors for a few weeks longer than us and it's a major problem. Why? To give you an insider update, we have been saving our grassroots-funded TV and Radio budget for the last few weeks while early voting is ongoing, so it will be most impactful. [Watch our new ad here, then if you can help us boost our ads budget before midnight tonight, please chip in a donation right now → We are trying to raise another $20,000 before midnight.]( To be completely honest with you, it’s hard to compete against one establishment-backed opponent whose average donation is more than 12X higher than ours ($50ish vs. $622), and another opponent who is sinking their own personal fortune into their own campaign. As a Black woman running for office in America, I don’t have the kind of deep-pocketed networks my privileged opponents rely on to bankroll my campaign. I just have you in my corner, {NAME}, my grassroots supporters. [If you’ve heard enough and can help us finish raising another $20,000 to fund our TV buy for the last FIVE DAYS before midnight tonight at our end-of-month deadline, please donate to my campaign so that we can get ads up and running as soon as possible.]( If you've stored your info with ActBlue Express, we'll process your contribution instantly: [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $20.24]( [DONATE $100]( [ANOTHER AMOUNT]( Here’s a little bit more about the situation we’re in. In order for our campaign to reach voters in Michigan’s 8th district, our campaign needs more air time in addition to the amazing grassroots work by our team. But for this to happen, we need a little more funding. Our team has set a goal of $20,000, which will allow us to book some last-minute primetime slots on local television stations. If my viewpoints are not broadcasted on TV, Radio, and digital ads, over 100,000 potential voters on August 6th will not be aware of what our movement stands for and where I draw a hard contrast with my two establishment-backed opponents: - Affordable, quality healthcare for all - Economic dignity and opportunity for everyone - More investment in public health, public education, and our children’s futures. - A ceasefire in Gaza We have currently raised $40,000 towards our goal and have another $20,000 left, which means we are 67% of the way to getting enough advertising up on the air to have a good shot at winning this, according to our polling and what our organizers are hearing from voters on the ground. {NAME}, if you are able to donate just $10, you will be a difference maker. Any amount helps. [Please click this link to donate to my campaign before our end-of-month goal at midnight so we close our budget gap →]( Thanks for your continued support, Dr. Pamela Pugh --------------------------------------------------------------- I’m Dr. Pamela Pugh, and I’m a Saginaw native running for Congress in Michigan's 8th District. I've spent my career fighting to improve the lives of Michigan residents through public health initiatives, and as the Chief Public Health Advisor for Flint I played a pivotal role in standing alongside Flint residents during the water crisis. As a public servant, I currently serve as the President of the Michigan State Board of Education, a statewide elected position. I believe in standing up for the people and fighting for our democracy, our children, and our future. I've lived in Michigan's 8th District for my entire life and it will be the honor of a lifetime to represent my community in the House of Representatives. I'm relying on grassroots contributions to fuel my campaign to victory — [so please chip in what you can right now!]( Our email list is an important tool for us to reach Democrats and activists in Michigan and around the country.
