October marks the end of the regular season for Rhode Island FC and while the team is still fighting for a playoff spot some of the attention has already turned to next season. With seat installation started last week, the soccer stadium at Tidewater Landing passed another construction milestone on the way toward a planned spring opening and its first home game for Rhode Island FC. The multi-use stadium – it can be configured for soccer, American football and rugby, as well as concerts and other events – will be surrounded by stands forming a rectangle on the banks of the Seekonk River just south of downtown. As The Journal's Wheeler Cowperthwaite reported earlier this week, each the projects have their merits, [outlined in this story]( and now he wants to know which one is the best option. [Take this poll and weigh in on the choice.]( • A Little Compton man is accusing the state Department of Administration and its embattled former state’s property management director, David Patten, of discriminating against him based on his sexuality. A new study, carried out by restaurant furniture experts [Seating Masters]( analyzed data from Numbeo, including the price of a meal at an inexpensive restaurant, to determine which states are the most expensive and cheapest to eat out in. The data from the cities in each state was collected and averaged to achieve a more accurate ranking. The price of a three-course meal at a mid-range restaurant for two people was also analyzed for each state and included in the ranking.
