Will Richmond | Managing Editor Communities & R.I. [@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at [The Providence Journal]( and this is the Daily Briefing. Rhode Island's primary Election Day is less than 24 hours away and the General Election is rapidly approaching in November, but one race you won't find on the ballot is governor. That hasn't stopped the potential number one competitor to Gov. Dan McKee from starting. If you've spotted Helena Foulkes at one of the state's ethnic festivals or caught a glimpse of her social media and thought she's running for office, you wouldn't be wrong. After losing to McKee by 3 percentage points in 2022, Foulkes is gearing up for another run for office. What is her plan and how is the McKee camp responding to the barbs being thrown their way? The Journal's Katherine Gregg recently sat down with Foulkes to learn more about her strategy for entering the race, her criticisms of McKee and what she's been up to since the last election.
