Will Richmond | Managing Editor Communities & R.I. [@Will_Richmond]( Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at [The Providence Journal]( and this is the Daily Briefing. I wasn't exactly in a rush to sit down Sunday night and watch the Patriots' final preseason game against the Washington Commanders. Sitting on my deck, I received an alert on my phone about the play Jacoby Brissett was injured on. At that point, I figured I'd start watching the game to see how rooking Drake Maye would perform. While there were some sparks, I was reminded that Patriot games are going to be a tough watch this season. Fortunately, there is an alternative for local football fans. The state's high school fields are about to be filled up. Games can be found Thursday through Saturday and of course our team will be there. To get you ready, [The Journal's Jacob Rousseau has put all of our preseason coverage into one place.]( Here you'll find everything from schedules to players to watch. As our team continues to preview the year to come, you'll find even more stories in this one-stop spot.
