Having just returned from Israel, I am beyond blessed by the sheer resilience of the Israeli people. Iran’s Supreme Leader aimed to kill as many civilians — Jews, Muslims, Christians and Druze — as possible. In response, U.S. naval destroyers joined Israeli air defense in shooting down these missiles. As Israel's first Prime Minister, Ben Gurion, once said: "In Israel, in order to be a realist, you must believe in miracles." They want to dominate the Middle East, overthrow democratic systems, destroy Israel and impose their ideology globally. Tonight marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. As we think about yesterday's events and the challenges ahead, let's remember we are stronger together. In tough times, we must hold on to hope and resilience.
