[] [View in browser]( [View in browser]( [] SEPT 28, 2023 [] [] SCOTT WELSH’S TICKER TALES And This Tax Specialist Is Doing Very Well… The Bears have been out in force lately, warning about impending doom in the form of more interest rate hikes, a government shutdown, overwhelming U.S. debt, student loan payments, and on and on. They’ve been downright giddy. Are they right? Are we going into a deep, dark recession? No one knows. (Especially not economists. Have you seen the data on their prediction accuracy?) But if we do go into a bearish market period, is there anything we can do? Of course. We can buy things that have been going up recently (during the downswing). And, chances are, those things will be recession-proof. Like taxes. Except for death, nothing is more enduring. And tax specialist Vertex (VERX) has been doing well lately: [] If it breaks out of its recent sideways channel and continues its upward momentum through $23.79, we could see a nice run–possibly up to the $40 level. We’ll keep an eye on it. We’ll keep it on our radar. — Scott Welsh P.S. As a reminder, these plays are based on my longer-term Weinstein Stage Analysis method. [] [] GUEST POST: JACK CARTER The Art of Income Trading: A Rising Star in the Investment Arena When it comes to the world of investing, trends come and go, but certain strategies stand the test of time due to their efficacy and reliability. Enter income trading — a method that's rapidly gaining traction among discerning investors. But what makes it such a sought-after approach, and why are seasoned traders singing its praises? At its core, income trading revolves around generating consistent returns, regardless of the market's direction. Instead of chasing the next big stock or betting on volatile price movements, income traders focus on strategies that provide a steady stream of income. This could be through selling options, dividend investing, or other techniques designed to harness the power of compounding over time. One of the primary appeals of income trading is its risk management aspect. Traditional stock trading can be akin to a roller coaster ride — thrilling highs followed by stomach-churning lows On the flip side, we have income trading, which aims for a smoother journey. By focusing on consistent, smaller gains, investors can build wealth without the sleepless nights that often accompany high-risk ventures. Furthermore, income trading offers flexibility. Investors can tailor their strategies based on market conditions, personal risk tolerance, and financial goals. Whether you're looking for a way to supplement your income or build a retirement nest egg, there's likely an income trading strategy that fits the bill. Another significant advantage is the power of compounding. Even modest returns, when reinvested, can lead to substantial growth over time. Albert Einstein famously referred to compound interest as the "eighth wonder of the world," and for a good reason: By consistently reinvesting gains, investors can harness this force to supercharge their portfolios. In essence, income trading is more than just a strategy — it's a mindset. Like I always say: It’s about turning the tables and becoming the dealer! It's about playing the long game, focusing on consistency over flash-in-the-pan success, and understanding that in the world of investing, slow and steady often wins the race. If the art of income trading resonates with you, there's an even deeper layer to explore. I’ve just released a brand new strategy with help from Options Expert, Lance Ippolito. It combines the power of “snooping” on Wall Street’s biggest moves with the consistency and simplicity of income trading. And the result is something you have to see for yourself. I just taped a video with all the details. [Click here to watch it now](.
