Dear Friend, In February 2022, I was forced to flee Irpin, my hometown in Ukraine, after Russia's full scale military invasion. It was a matter of survival for my country, and I wanted to help my people, so I joined Project HOPE as a Program Specialist four months later. The essential aid and services the team and I have been able to provide here inspired me to go to Gaza, where I deployed in March of 2024. As an aid worker and survivor of displacement, I felt compelled to do everything I can. The wars in Ukraine and Gaza, and other violent conflicts, natural disasters, and health emergencies across the globe continue to wreak havoc.
