[A tight photo of a white ramekin filled with cooked grains of plain barley, topped with a little chopped fresh parsley.] The first time I tried quinoa, I was NOT a fan! Years later, I had quinoa in a grain bowl and absolutely loved it.  So I just had to figure out what the difference was. Turns out, rinsing the quinoa—really rinsing it good—takes away the bitterness and helps the grain cook up tasty and delicious.  Swap it out for any of your basic rice sides.  [If you try it, please comment on the post to let us know what you think!](%2F%2Fwww.pressurecookingtoday.com%2Fpressure-cooker-carrot-cake-oatmeal%2F/1/0100018f90bfda86-fc4d2e9f-e063-4a1e-bcb0-01556f2705f8-000000/m7NV-CPp7KHkI8MIA2f8N6t8RBY=374) [Get the Recipe](%2F%2Fwww.pressurecookingtoday.com%2Fhow-to-cook-quinoa-in-an-instant-pot%2F/1/0100018f90bfda86-fc4d2e9f-e063-4a1e-bcb0-01556f2705f8-000000/Cme5cLU5EY2FpRaZAFIXRH5ki-4=374) If needed, you can copy and paste this link into your browser: [A light gray rectangle with a diamond shaped photo on the right and text on the left that reads ] Why don't we make these more often? These are some of our favorites that we hadn't made in a little bit that were a big hit with the family! - [Ravioli from Frozen](%2F%2Fwww.pressurecookingtoday.com%2Fone-pot-ravioli-from-frozen-instant-pot-recipe%2F/1/0100018f90bfda86-fc4d2e9f-e063-4a1e-bcb0-01556f2705f8-000000/gXu56is9RJLGz28v_ehFKi9bbYs=374) this one is so easy, it feels a little like cheating that it has so much amazing flavor.  - Our [French Dip](%2F%2Fwww.pressurecookingtoday.com%2Feasy-french-dip-sandwiches%2F/1/0100018f90bfda86-fc4d2e9f-e063-4a1e-bcb0-01556f2705f8-000000/7hw4tiNc2cdXxdebUZHglDOQgBU=374) has a spring of rosemary in the recipe, which makes the au jus absolutely irresistible. It makes a quick and simple sandwich taste fancy.  - [Twice Baked Potatoes](%2F%2Fwww.pressurecookingtoday.com%2Finstant-pot-twice-baked-potatoes%2F/1/0100018f90bfda86-fc4d2e9f-e063-4a1e-bcb0-01556f2705f8-000000/6nWkGI9QE546wHVmSoS1Z7fC3Bc=374) This side takes a bit more effort to make because you put the potatoes back in the skins. However, they're so delicious they're worth the work. Links not working? [A black and white, close-up photo of a fluffy dog sandwiched between a fleece pillow and blanket. Only one eye is visible.] Pupdate 🐾 There are times I'll just say, “Wow, you are such a patient dog!”  This was one of those times. I walked into the kitchen and my daughter said, “Look, Mom, it's Princess Kitty Luna!” And the crown and kitty ears that had both been on my daughter's head a few minutes ago were suddenly on the dog's head. And Luna was patiently standing without shaking while my daughter admired her head gear.  As soon as Luna saw me whip out the camera, she shook the crown off and wouldn't let me put it back on her—until I went to get her a treat. Then she was back to being the wonderfully patient dog she was before.
