Hey, 👋 These days, many companies claim they are community-driven or put the community at the core of their efforts. Some do that, but most don’t. They just try to ride the wave. We choose to stay honest and transparent in our efforts. We started the Upstairs Community in 2020, a year that…well…let’s say it speaks for itself. During the last 18 months of nurturing this community, we had plenty of aha moments that showed us how much untapped potential is in building one that matches our mission and values. For the past 10 years, we’ve been crafting WordPress products that help architects, photographers, bloggers, publishers, and small business owners create a website that solves real needs. Kicking-off a community for the same folks was not something we had in mind at the beginning of the journey, yet this happened organically. The stories we’ve been publishing are written by creative professionals worldwide in their pursuit of helping others learn, get inspired, and even feel less confused during their journey. In the end, no career is a straight line, right? We’ve been designing a community (we’re constantly fine-tuning) that amplifies our brand’s voice authentically and transparently. Pixelgrade has never been only about money. Quite the opposite— we’ve always aimed to do stuff that exceeds our financial interests and contributes to a better world. Upstairs Community is one of the approaches we embrace to reach our mission. It’s that simple. [→]([Learn why we’re building this community]( Stay curious, —Oana Why I'm getting this?
