Having trouble viewing this email? [View it in your browser]( A SPECIAL MESSAGE From Erin My brother is [running across Canada]( to raise money for a vaccine for COVID...and you can watch it live! My brother is doing an incredible thing to help support us all, and I would love you to join in his mission! [His Story]( My name is Harris Falconer. I am a recent Medical School Grad, but have not yet completed my residency program. When COVID-19 started to take over my country, Canada, I tried in every way I could to assist on the frontlines, in the hospital rooms, to help save lives, but nobody would let me join the fight because I had not yet completed my residency. I called hospitals, government, the military, but I couldn't find a way in. I was so frustrated -- wanting to help my fellow colleagues out - many of whom are exhausted, overwhelmed and scared but didn't know how. So I have taken matters into my own hands and decided to run across Canada to raise money for a vaccine for this deadly virus. I am calling this run, the 'Come Together by Staying Apart Run,' to promote social distancing and raise money. Normally, people will gather on the side of the road to cheer runners on, but instead I will live stream my run, through Instagram, (via the @pickthebrain handle) so you can virtually cheer me on! I know we can make a difference, and so I'd love you to join me on this epic journey across the country! I chose the University of Manitoba, as I am from Winnipeg (but live now, in Vancouver) I will be joined by my pal, Lewis, who will drive behind me in a van, filming and helping me pit stop. I will start in Vancouver and end in our nations capital, Ottawa. I will cross mountains, rivers and the prairies, through rain, sun and snow. [Want to join me in making a difference?]( I'm raising money to benefit University of Manitoba research into a COVID vaccine, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
