It's totally normal
‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Hey {NAME}, Have you been told that you're out of alignment? Good news for you: YOU’RE NOT OUT OF ALIGNMENT! In fact, you never were IN alignment. Humans don’t quite function like cars… We’re naturally asymmetrical and function quite well being so… Our bodies are strong and adaptable. The baseball player’s throwing arm twists further than his non-throwing arm. Your dominant arm will almost always be "tighter" than your non-dominant arm. (don’t believe me… try reaching up behind your back right vs. left) You might have one foot that’s bigger than the other. Or one hip that’s higher than the other. Chances are your one arm or leg is stronger than the other. All NORMAL and NATURAL. Or is this a problem? If so, who made it a problem and when? The MEDICAL SYSTEM made it a problem. When you’re in pain and seek advice about why you hurt… from PTs, chiros, osteopaths, MDs, massage therapists, personal trainers…. They MEDICALIZE normal things to help you justify why you hurt (both because you asked for an explanation and also to hook you into pointless treatments). Ask, and you shall receive... This is when that one leg that’s always been longer becomes the target of heel lifts… The forward tilt of your pelvis that you grew up with becomes the target for adjustments… A problem only becomes a problem if you (or your provider) make it a problem. You don’t hurt because… - Your SI Joint is out of alignment (it naturally is)
- Your pelvis is twisted (it was before you hurt)
- Your one leg is longer than the other (many folks with only 1 leg don’t hurt)
- Or because your core is weak (many people with a "weak" core feel no pain) These are beliefs - usually planted by someone else. The cause of pain is much deeper than any of these things… It’s an experience created by your BRAIN & BODY. Treat it as such. You’re not broken. Time to think different.
