Hey photographers, let's talk about this... It’s not like you’d throw your camera gear into a full bathtub This quick tip is so simple, and yet it will save the day (as well as your precious camera gear). You would not throw your camera into a full bathtub, right? Water and electronics do not mix. So, what if you’re out taking pictures and a rainy downpour occurs? That camera bag may keep the water out, or it may not. Plus, if you love landscape photography, then you owe it to yourself to be out there creating dynamic pictures when the weather isn’t perfect. Those moments are often the very best possibilities for great landscape photography. Check out these dramatic “BAD WEATHER” photographs: When the storm breaks! As a storm moves in… There are numerous, and extremely important, considerations when it comes to Bad Weather photography. Protecting your precious gear is the one that we will discuss today. [☂️Today's Deal: Grab the complete 78 Page Bad Weather Book that will give you the skills and knowledge you need, to make the most of every shooting situation... ⏰Be quick — Bonus expires midnight! Download Here →]( Your bad weather gear bag should contain 4-6 large, heavy duty (3 mil) leaf or garbage bags. You should also have several dozen (because you will probably lose some over time) large super-sized rubber bands. When the rain begins, whip out your plastic bags and cover your gear. If the wind picks up, secure the open end with your large rubber bands to keep the bags from blowing open or blowing away. This technique has saved me too many times to count. In fact, I will often leave the camera on the tripod, with the bag secured over it, and ride out the storm just like that. Why? Because that moment that you’re waiting for (such as in the example photos above) will often present itself for only a few minutes or possibly even seconds!
