[View this email in your browser]( 2024 #PHOTOVILLEFESTIVALIt’s a wrap! And just like that…we have reached the end of the 2024 Photoville Festival! From June 1-16, we collectively supported a truly special group of artists and programming partners from around the world; highlighted stories of hope, joy, and compassion, while honoring stories of adversity and heartbreak; and spent 16 days fostering empathy and understanding within our communities. With over 87+ free and accessible exhibitions across all 5 boroughs displayed on banners, cubes, trusses, and in our shipping containers, our 13th year was more than lucky… it was a success brought by commitment, intentionality, and support. And the enthusiastic response to our diverse array of workshops and professional development opportunities for the photo community proved that access to these resources will always remain essential! Producing an outdoor public event at this scale is not easy, especially in a city like New York, so we want to shout out all of the Photoville community, especially our marquee partners: [Brooklyn Bridge Park]( [NYC Parks]( [Leica Camera]( [NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment]( [the Seaport]( [NYC Department of Cultural Affairs]( [NYS Council on the Arts]( [PhotoWings]( [Two Trees Management]( and [DUMBO Improvement District]( our exhibition and programming partners who share all of their brilliant work; and most especially our docents who supported the Photoville staff throughout the festival. To the festival artists and curators… it’s your creativity and storytelling that keeps us going. Thank you for selflessly and courageously sharing your work and voices with the world. The work you do is essential, so thank you for trusting us as a platform to tell your stories! And, to YOU, our festival goers… THANK YOU! It is truly remarkable how you all continue to support Photoville and our visual storytellers with your commitment to engaging with and uplifting their stories from around the world. But the festival isn’tquite over… [We still have 20 exhibitions on view]( in all 5 boroughs, and the summer has only begun!
