Nonprofit News From Elsewhere Online Warren Buffettâs children will receive billions to give away to charitable causes when the famed investor dies, and the Gates Foundation will not receive anything. Buffett today owns nearly $130 billion in Berkshire Hathaway stock, and he said nearly all will go to charity. Buffett, who is 93, said his three children must decide unanimously which philanthropic purposes the money he is placing a charitable trust will serve. Buffett has previously given each of the children money to set up their own philanthropies, and he said watching their work and maturity had made him decide recently that he wanted to give them power over his largesse.
