[View this email in your browser]( Dear Friend, If you want to help as many homeless pets as possible, now's the time: A generous supporter is MATCHING DONATIONS up to $20,000! That means if you give now, you'll double your impact for homeless pets like Cooper, pictured above, who was diagnosed with severe, infectious pneumonia at just three months old. Cooper in the hospital A corgi mix, Cooper came to Iowa's It Takes A Village Animal Rescue & Resources on a transport out of a high-intake shelter in Oklahoma. At first, he appeared healthy, but two days later he began to have trouble breathing and had to be admitted to a veterinary hospital. Feeling better and on his way home There, he was diagnosed with viral pneumonia. With help from a Petfinder Foundation grant, he was placed in an oxygen kennel and given IV antibiotics. Finally, his fever broke, his breathing improved, and he even started eating small bits of food. When he was strong enough to breathe on his own, he went to live with a medical foster while he recovered. With his new family! By the time Cooper was medically cleared for adoption, his foster family had fallen in love with him and decided that he was already in his forever home.
