Ah, the Democrats are at it again, spinning their greatest hits of fearmongering and baseless accusations. This week's double feature: Adam Schiff clutching his pearls over President-elect Donald Trump and Debbie Wasserman Schultz resurrecting the tired "Russian asset" trope to attack Tulsi Gabbard. Grab some popcorn. Let's start with Schiff. On CNN's State of the Union, he accused Trump of wanting to sic the military on him. Why? Because Trump referred to "radical left lunatics" as a bigger problem than external threats. Schiff, never one to miss an opportunity for dramatics, jumped to the conclusion that Trump was targeting him personally. Clearly, in Schiff's mind, everything revolves around him. To hear Schiff tell it, Trump is just waiting to unleash tanks on his California residence. But Schiff, ever the "brave warrior," assured Jake Tapper he wouldn't be intimidated. How noble! Yet, for someone who claims not to be intimidated, Schiff sure spends an awful lot of time talking about how terrifying Trump is. Maybe he should take a breath and remember that the National Guard isn't exactly waiting outside his office window. ..."Um, look, I'm not going to be intimidated by anything he says by anything he does. If I was, I wouldn't be on your show. I'm going to do my responsibility in the Senate. Californians are expecting me, first and foremost, to try to work and get things done, work across the aisle where the president wants to fight prices. I will work with him. Where the president wants to engage in unconstitutional abuses of power, just as he did in the first administration, I will defend our state. I will defend the rights and freedom of the American people. So, yeah, that's what he said. That's what he may try to do. But I'm not going to be intimidated," [Schiff stated](. BREAKING: Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff ([@AdamSchiff]() Tells CNN: 'Gaetz Not Only Unqualified, He's Disqualified'-Says Evidence Shows Trump Colluded with Russia in 2016, Vows Not to Be Intimidated By Trump if He Uses The Military Against Him. WATCH [pic.twitter.com/sjeMlqWxva]( - Simon Ateba (@simonateba) [November 17, 2024]( Meanwhile, [Debbie Wasserman Schultz]( decided to attack Tulsi Gabbard on MSNBC, calling her a "likely Russian asset" and "the most dangerous" candidate for Director of National Intelligence. This is straight out of the 2016 playbook, where everyone who disagrees with the Democratic Party's orthodoxy is magically branded as a Kremlin operative. Gabbard, a veteran who served her country, has long been a target of this baseless smear campaign, and Wasserman Schultz just dusted off the old script for another performance. When confronted about her reply, Schultz buckled down and said, "Oh, yes. There's no question, I consider her someone who is likely a Russian asset, who would be, as the DNI, responsible for managing our entire intelligence community, hold all of our most significant intelligence information and secrets, and, essentially, would be a direct line to our enemies." Her "evidence"? Gabbard's 2017 trip to Syria, where she met with President Bashar al-Assad. Forget the fact that Gabbard has repeatedly defended the trip as an effort to promote peace; to Wasserman Schultz, diplomacy equals treachery. But here's the kicker: Wasserman Schultz, who spent years running interference for Hillary Clinton, has the gall to accuse anyone else of being a risk to U.S. intelligence. The projection is almost comical. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz says that Tulsi Gabbard is a "Russian asset." You simply should not be allowed to defame somebody like this on cable TV without consequences. [pic.twitter.com/fduHdchEnr]( - Greg Price (@greg_price11) [November 15, 2024]( What's really going on here is simple: Democrats are panicking. Trump's decisive victory and the rise of unconventional figures like Gabbard threaten their grip on the narrative. So they resort to their favorite tactics-cry "authoritarian!" and yell "Russia!"-hoping no one notices the hypocrisy. It's tired, it's transparent, and, frankly, it's insulting to voters' intelligence. But hey, when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a Russian nail. [Tide Change!
