North Chicago School District Hosts First Spanish-Language PEP North Chicago Community Unit School District 187 has successfully implemented PPS PEP-Parent Leadership for Spanish speaking parents, the first time our Spanish curriculum has been offered. Ebony Wilson, Family & Community Liaison for the school district who serves as the PEP Coordinator stated, “I am proud to say that we are entering into our 5th Cohort of PEP Leadership Training at District 187. This was our first Spanish-only Cohort - with 10 parents! We did it!” The North Chicago school district became a PPS PEP client in 2020, and we are very pleased that they have found our PEP curriculum to be a useful addition to their parent and community engagement efforts.
